As India’s largest bank, it was important for State Bank of India to modernize its IT infrastructure in order to maintain quality service. State Bank of India engaged NITConnect to renovate two of its U.S. branches, New York and Chicago.
The challenge NITConnect faced was to complete a renovation in a live environment. In order to minimize downtime, the banks’ employees are being moved to temporary locations within the office that had fully functioning IT systems. These renovations are being completed in sections, one-by-one. NITConnect has ensured employee productivity is not affected by this project.
In one-day, NITConnect internally assessed the Chicago branch by testing its network issues and cabling infrastructure. Back in New York, NITConnect is renovating the entire two-story building, including creating a new data center.
During the four-phase renovation process at each location, NITConnect is installing voice, data and cabling solutions, and revamping the old infrastructure.
