HUMC ROBUST IT SOLUTIONS HELP NJ HOSPITAL CAPTURE AWARD

Specifically, NIT Connect deployed Exchange Server 2003 which enables OBGYN to use a Web-based e-mail program, called Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access. This technology replaces manual workloads and provides physicians and doctors with more secure, remote Web access to all their e-mail, scheduling, and contacts.

As a result, OBGYN employees are increasing their productivity through better information management, improved mobility, and newly automated business processes. For a company of 60 people, this can translate into savings of approximately 120 hours a week. When physicians and doctors are traveling, they can log on to the site to access the files and documents that reside on their office computer. Furthermore, doctors who might want to work from another office or from home save many hours every month providing support for OBGYN. “I find my position very challenging and rewarding. The diversity of clients exposes me to an array of varied networks and ultimately their unique networking issues. Each problem that arises challenges me to solve the issue with the specific needs of the client and their network in mind. The types of service issues that I work on range from simple workstation installations to the complex configurations of firewalls, spam filters and exchange server troubleshooting. Often I find myself comparing my work to that of a detective, as I research, plan, and execute the resolution. An example may be in tracing down the log files for who accessed a particular file, computer, or network at a particular time that a problem occurred. At the end of each day I reflect on the challenges faced and am satisfied with the results achieved.”
